Demons in Doom are some lame shitters compared to Abrahamic demons/djinns, though

Abrahamic demons are fallen angels, which are entities much more powerful than humans. Basically just pure intelligence/spirit

Painkiller. Worse AI, basic verticality but fucking gorgeous level visuals, you kill hell legions like doomguy. The physics engine is pretty wonky too so you can easily climb walls or go really fast by spamming the space button and wiggling the mouse.

I hope not, every game after the first has been worse, made by literal whos and mod teams. The HD release was a step up but the black edition is still the best by miles. Painkiller Overdose had some interesting levels and ideas but was infuriatingly difficult and also really short.
