Why does /v/ hates Bethesda?

because they put in a visible lack of effort into their games
they start off fun and exciting and then five or ten hours in cracks start showing and you realize that bethesda put all their time into the earliest parts of the game
at that point you might keep playing, trying to see if it gets better or something but it just keeps getting worse and worse
i think that's why there are so many negative reviews and stuff by people who have 50+ hours in the game, because the more you play it and think about things the more you see how hollow and poorly thought out everything is. they're mediocre games that sell because of the quantity of their content and not the quality of their content

Bad developer with a decreasing quality in writing in their games over the last 10 years.
Insists on using a 15 year old engine instead of writing a new one or using something like Unreal.

Kind of ironic since Bethesda has some of the worst lines in vidya. Skyrim's dialogue felt like it was written by a middle schooler with too much free time.

Because of meme. It's trending to hate Bethesda. I don't know a single person older than 25 who don't like their games. Sure, they are not flawless, but they are good. I personally thinks F4 is better any other game in series with exception of F1.
