I hate both of them, but crimsons ichor debuff is marvelous. Since i am in LOVE with high fire rate guns (Gatligator, Clockwork A.R. etc.) the debuff helps me alot more than it should. Ichor reduces defense by 20, meaning the target will take 10 more damage by every hit. If your weapon shoots once per second, you will deal 10 additional damage per second. If is shoots 5 times per second, you will deal 50 additional damage per second. It goes insanely well with high fire rate weapons, aka my favourite ones.

Killing the WoF just puts your world into Hardmode, which opens up 7 new NPCs, 8 new bosses, spreads Corruption/Crimson more effectively than before, adds in a new biome to mirror them (the Hallow), revamps the Dungeon after a certain point, gives you 2 new invasions and more summonable events, adds in SHITLOADS of new enemies, and creates 3 new types of ore. Spirit mod if you play on a summoner is absurdly badly balanced. You can just buy a spirit skull summon that shoots homing projectiles. The projectiles do massive damage, home incredibly well and often the skulls will for no apparent reason at all shoot volleys of 3. They make every other summon before and most after look terrible in comparison and aren't even expensive.
All the artifact weps I unlocked were crap too. Summon especially. Takes 2 slots, doesn't do as much damage as 1 skull summon even at tier 4.

What the fuck are you talking about, you literally can't do anything to the mechanical bosses in hardmode until you get the mushroom spear or Gugnir, both of which require you to have beaten a hardmode boss. The game forces you to pick up a ranged/magic item just to get the melee weapon you want, and even then you're better off making a Megashark for the Twins or a Magical Harp for the Destroyer.

I've been thinking I should just change the biome to jungle since it looks like a swamp to me. I had a forest in mind but the normal biome looks so much like mountains that it might be better to just go with a swamp and add grass walls everywhere (like the bottom cave) to make it look more lush.

If I make a skybridge jungle, will it also affect the ground level biome?

There aren't any buildings in like the outer third of the map. I guess if you are on a medium/small world it could be a problem. Just pop a mining potion and rip the hell housing apart. It's pretty quick.

There's not much to talk about. It has no sense of progression since you can get the same right clicks on a starter wep as end and fight the same enemies on the first planet as the last making the only change be numbers. Its story is just fetch quests with Metroid Style scanning instead of fetching. Aside from being pretty, its plainly inferior to Terraria in every way.
