No. Mines are not made to kill. IEDs are made to kill, mines are made to maim. Kill a person and they're out of the fight. Maim a person and they're out the fight+their buddy has to carry them. Also for routing people into ambushes and whatnot, it's why actual armies mark their minefields, to divert enemies.
