I've only played 3 games on that list; MC, SC2 and GTA V. They're all OK I guess.

I quite enjoy D3:RoS and Rocket League both of which are probably well hated on /v/ and quite popular.

How popular a game, or anything really, is has zero bearing on it's quality.
Perhaps people shouldn't let themselves be influenced that heavily by what others think.

Hearthstone is the main one I cannot understand the appeal of. It seems incredibly expensive to do anything in, and the barrier to entry now seems very high.
