I started playing it expecting a nice "style action game".
Combat is bad, levels are bad, only good part have been the few boss-like encounters.
To be perfectly honest I haven't been playing many AAA games over the past two years and I went into this game expecting to see what all the kiddies have been raving about for months as if it's the pinnacle of this years AAA and I'm basically playing something not very impressive at all.

The "environments" have so far consisted of 90% low-poly generic square buildings, invisible walls and flat empty plains.
The actual overview map doesn't accurately represent the world, it's unclear which of the low-poly buildings will let you run around them and which ones are effectively invisible walls (not to say that _literal_ invisible walls aren't everywhere in this game).
You're being taught that unless the path is like 10 meters wide it's probably an invisible wall and then it immediately forces you down a path where it just expects you to understand you can squeeze yourself through this barely wide enough path through some trees.
This shit feels like a PS2 game, it's fine, I guess. But this game dominated this board for weeks which few other single player AAAs have done this year.

The game gained acclaim mostly due to it's story, which is very slow and dull at the start but then it picks up and turns into one hell of an emotional rollercoaster.
The problem is that this game is actually Yoko Taro game, not a Platinum game and thus a lot of people buy it thinking it's essentially a bayo/MGS:R mixup and they end up with Taro's weeaboofaggotry animu game.
