Hello /v/, my dad wants to go into gaming.
He's enjoyed World of Warcraft when I let him try it (about 5 years ago, or whenever Lich King was), and he also likes CIV5.
On my list, I have CIV6, Crusader Kings 2, Europa Universalis, Total War Rome2, Age of Empires, Cities: Skyline...do you guys got more suggestions? What do your parents play?

my suggestion would be dont have a huge list of the same kind of game on there
Along with what you want to show him, add in Tetris, Some platformer like mario or sonic, Shooters, Everything under the sun, and take his feedback and expand from there.

This
Don't focus on one genre, mix it up
Also what platforms do you have
only PC
I live in Hong Kong, I am just home for vacation and when I saw him super bored, I asked him if he wants to give CIV a try.
He enjoyed it a lot and put 12hrs in already. Then he got the idea of being able to game on his giant living room TV. I figured after showing him some games itd be easier to recommend him a PC or a console.
He likes to play chess online on his tablet too, so I put a lot of strategy games on that dont stress him and let him chill on his comfy chair.

>CIV5
Total War Warhammer perhaps?

Ive put Rome2 and Atilla on the list, cause I figured starting him off with a historical context would be simpler than the deep-end in to fantasy kinda deal.
(Hes was born in 1960 and is German)

My dad and I have been playing Albion Online together. It's not that good but worth a try.
He also plays a shitton of Operation: New Earth which is a mobile game that he plays on his PC.

My dad is absolutely obsessed with the Championship manager series. He even went so far as doing something that I would never ever do; preordering.
