I don't see why not. I played Mario Party 5 with 3 others over netplay before and it ran perfectly fine. Dokapon doesn't have anything that needs good response times like Mario Party minigames either from what I remember so it should be even easier.

I heard Dokapon netplay doesn't work because the RNG doesn't sync correctly and the games end up getting out of sync... I don't know how true that is though.


I wish it was possible, though. A PC Dokapon game would be sick... I spent like a week working on a Dokapon Kingdom type game w/ Paper Mario graphics that I wanted to make work online, but I lost motivation really quickly after I finished programming a simple board system.

Thief is the best at the start imo. Everyone is right next to each other and you can keep passing over people and stealing their shit. Plus, I feel like speed is essential early game because you miss on the big monsters a lot without a good bit if speed.

I had problems with pausing and cutscenes when I tried it out. I played through the whole thing after messing around with some settings and ended the cutscenes right before the were supposed to. I think. It was a year or so ago.

I've been starting new games of Dokapon with different people since 2010 and have yet to finish a single one.
Still only seen up to chapter 3 cuz the full group never wants to pick up where we left off.

If no one wants to pick it up because they got shit on just tell them it literally doesn't matter what happens until the very end. To get in the final area you have to give up a bunch of your towns, and the person who gets the final hit on the last boss gets all towns that aren't owned by anyone.

Basically, if everyone goes for the final boss whoever gets the final hit just wins the game.

One or two people could go in and the others could just go take all the towns from the 2 that went in but that is super fucking boring.
