Glad I found this thread.

I recently started playing SkyRim SE with a ton of mods on 'experienced' and am wondering when it gets consistently fun. When the game stops being an asshole and my choices get rewarding so that I can not scrape by every battle. Like just now, the game decides to throw in two vampires into River Run or whatever it's called. Natch a mod called 'When Vampires attack' is installed but not working. I try to help kill the vamps but even when I don't die the citizens start killing me for some reason. This is after fleeing down the 'Throat of the World' because it is impossible for me to either take on the Ice Troll or survive the cold.

I'm very nervous what the next TES (Elsweyr) is going to be like, seeing how they like to add in features from Fallout games like perks, show-mo killcams etc.
Looking at F4 they're probably going to add in that disposition meter from followers which I think will be interesting. But I also think they're going to add in settlement building, and the "armor workbench" thing as they take a bigger turn towards crafting. Dialogue will degrade as well even if they remove the voiced protagonist. Skills will be scraped altogether in favor of the perk only system, still allowing you to be a master thief, mage, and warrior in one playthrough. And finally I think they will heavily rely on rng-based "endless" quests that were everywhere in F4 giving them an excuse to not spend much time on writing.
All in all, I think it will be even more disappointing than skyrim for people who like to roleplay.
