I will say that Taxman and the original team did both have their own existing engine they used for previous commercial titles, and probably only made general changes to it, rather than big revamps, but they are otherwise in the same boat in terms of that.

I think the problem is watching the stream, I didnt feel like most the new stuff made me want to play. And the old stuff wasnt redone well enough that made me feel like playing it over again.

I would have liked more stages to, or at least some great amazing silent story telling like sonic and knuckles had. I still have found memories of that when i was a kid.
