I haven't been excited for a single game in almost 10 years because I'm tired of getting fucked, and these days I only accept undeniable demonstrations that a game is not shit.

Up until the last weeks of release I f5'd, shitposted, and funposted in these threads for hours. I was all in.

Everything was going to be perfect, for once, finally. The planets aligned. Then Nintendo shit the bed and couldn't disable a download code, so my choices were to play mania days after my maximum point of excitement or stay off of /v/ for 5 days. Fine. Whatever. Rode the leak threads and had a good time anyway.

Then we hear about an announcement last night and I'm expecting good news that mitigates the leak situation or somehow makes the game even better than what we've seen.

Having a shit day at work, finally time to check on this shit during my lunch break.

I only have a PC. I am fuming. No video game, no matter how bad, has ever wounded me or made me this angry. I would have vastly preferred that Sonic Mania be 06 levels so I could've disregarded it a year ago. Anyone can see a bad game coming from miles away. It would be my own fault if I bought the hype. But I couldn't see betrayal. I'm so mad that I am not pirating this game. I'm never going to play it. I don't want to remember ever again how mad I am right now.

And if I had my way, I hope its over DRM. Because if it's a developer decision over game breaking bugs or performance, that means I hate the lot of the mania team instead of sega. This would have to effect the minority of PC systems, and withholding the release for all PC users is just as retarded as delaying the game for all platforms. All this does is make it where less people get to play the game on time.
