The people who rate it low either never played Baldurs Gate, or are only rating it low because the main story is pretty boring and it is delivered in a handful of infodumps rather than real world building. The gameplay itself is top tier for a CRPG. It has a slightly more complex ruleset than DnD but the interface is less clunky to use than the old infinity engine games. It also has significantly more roleplaying interactions in its quests and general dialogue than the old infinity engine games, which I appreciate greatly.

Torment might actually do with being one tier higher, it's an overly simple game but it has some very strong elements too.

Wasteland 2 could go down to shit tier really.

Divinity OS should go down to okay.
