So today it was leaked that the vast majority of the game will be old levels, two from each of the classic games: S1, S2, S3K and CD, 8 levels of "remixes" in total. Plus 4... new zones.

I went to Steam and opened my refund page.

A few hours later the PC released was pushed whole 2 weeks away.

Confirmed my refund. Will get this shit on sale for $1. Fuck you.

It actually is. CD's got wildly different stage design compared to the rest of the series. Play Sonic 2 (warning: falls in quality a bit after Mystic Cave, act 3 of Metropolis is fucking awful in particular) or Sonic 3 Complete (best way to play S3&K, grab it at Sonic Retro's wiki, only particularly bad stages are Carnival Night act 2 and Sandopolis act 2, the game is pretty great as a whole and the S&K half is better than the still quite decent S3 half)

The bosses in CD are cool other than Collision Chaos's, but the miserably low hit count needed to kill them is a joke.
Best one was Tidal Tempest's.

How in the fuck did this all work out in Nintendo's favor? They just can't stop winning.
