I remember the developer of Super Meat Boy being interviewed about optimizing for the PC, and he said there was a weird graphical bug that was happening for months that they couldn't figure out, which turned out to be caused by the screen-dimming program F.lux. Consoles aren't susceptible to this sort of thing at all, so that sort of stuff will be the cause of it.

PS4 or Switch?

PS4 version is made and maintained by the Taxman crew, system has a solid controller, and the way it will run and play is a known quantity. It should release at 9PM PT with a preload, plus themes and dumb shit like that.

Switch version is being ported to the platform by Tantalus Media, who're known for their decent port work (Deus Ex and Mass Effect 3 for the Wii U, plus Twilight Princess HD), but it's still a port and I don't know it it will run or look worse, or if it will be maintained at the same rate as the other versions. While the controller for it will suck unless you're using the Pro, it can be used in a portable mode that should look decent.
