i like what they are doing but it feels too time-gated so i havn't played it too far.

Fun for the first few hours, but gets really grindy in the late game.
Wouldn't a darkest dungeon just be so black you couldn't see? I am just trying to understand the point of the name. Couldn't you just turn off your monitor to simulate this experience? I'm so confused by this.

The assets are really nice (music, art assets and the voiceover work especially are pretty top notch) but there is a strong feeling that you're playing with scraps of an unfinished whole.
The initial kikestarter description of building a more individualized party (That would logically rather than randomly gain afflictions for instance) that would have a dynamic between members (such as a party member being afraid of another sadistic party member and thus refusing medical treatment from them) as well as the missions often being focused around extermination (clearing the path for more to come to the estate), scavenging (for medical supplies etc) and scouting exercises that only lead to randomized rewards rather than any specific goal or progression are to my mind indicators of this cut down experience.
The basic gameplay present in the current game was still strong enough to keep me invested for a fairly lengthy period of time (even if it's just a loop of sending your party into different procedurally generated locales for experience and loot to upgrade your town and party and challenge more difficult procedurally generated locales until eventually challenging the preset Darkest Dungeon) but I found it fairly easy to get burned out on it as more waves of content failed to really bring me back into the game.
really grindy. Having your champions get infected by the blood curse and having to get vials is a bit much. I do like the narration and the artistic vision the game has. I also learned some new words
Great game but the grind for leveling characters if you lose any is unbearable.
Also becomes a snoozefest when you realise how OP stun two enemies+stressheal is

Congrats, you have been diagnosed with acute autism.

It's ok, but it lacks content, that's why they reskinned every boss and made the game grindy to increase play length.

Thanks for reminding me
>Start a playthrough on Bloodmoon
>Week 23
>Come across a shambler altar on an easy mission
>Flip a coin to decide whether to fight it or not
>get heads
>get party wiped
That was 4 days ago and I lost motivation after that. Maybe I'll start a new playthrough in a week or two.
It gets old after you beat the second version of the bosses.
