I literally died 5 times in the tutorial level trying to recruit the demons. Not even being cheeky when I say it's like going from something like Assassins Creed to a Souls game difficulty wise. Also the negotiation mechanic sucks fucking shit compared to the P5 one since there are no personality clues, and the right answer is randomised every time. Wasn't a game for me.

world of STR is the way to go. OP, IV is a good place to start if you want to get into SMT coming from Persona. A little bit tough at the beginning, but mid game it gets smoother and easier. A lot of people shit on it but IV is pretty good imo, not as good as Nocturne but not a lot worse. Play Apocaypse afterwards

Play on Normal, game gets easier once you've left the first dungeon. Go with either DEX or MAG, and don't bother with STR since its completely inferior to DEX. Lastly, don't look up a guide for alignments your first playthrough so that it feels more genuine.

I loved this game and still do. But when I came to one of the smt atlus threads in general I got spoiled pretty hard so I put it down for a while. Im maybe less than halfway done wkth the game. Last important thing I did was side with that big ass demon when the gang wanted me to kill it.
