Nigger, what? I fucking love DD, I played through it a dozen times on 360 and PC, but the game has a shitton of major flaws. It's literally a flawed gem of a game, even /v/ knows that.

I think Prey is like 1/2 of a 10/10 game. The back half of it is fucking awful filled with backtracking and retarded difficulty spikes

Reading Joseph Anderson's script for his videos is like reading a high schooler's English homework. He has absolutely no structure, but he absolutely needs it because he rambles constantly, rarely connecting points together. Perhaps he is a sum is greater than all the parts sort of person, where the viewer watches this ninety minute ramble about a game and agrees generally and can take away a few nice soundbites (because he will in his ramblings stumble upon some good points; but in his 90 minute videos, he has less arguments/ideas than other reviewers have in ten minute videos). But since he cannot keep on a topic very well, his videos lack a depth that other reviewers' videos have.

Matthew may take fucking forever to make a video on some random game no one cares about, but I feel like he thinks and then rethinks about his subject matter, whereas Anderson plays a game and goes off without taking time to reflect. I suppose the tl;dr is Joseph Anderson reviews lack a certain thoughtfulness that makes for what I think a good reviewer should have.

This, I remember him casually mentioning that he read through the fucking Divine Comedy during the DMC video just to look for connections between it and DMC beyond the character names, and then couldn't find any. This is the level of autistic perfectionism we're dealing with here, that wasn't even relevant to the gameplay which is probably practically all anyone cared to hear him talk about anyway.
He really needs to re-asses what is or isn't worth delaying a video for.
