The tank probably had worse gear than you since you start in ilvl 115 gear by default.
You already had your big dick burst mode charged up before even starting the fight.

Get to i300, do Susano/Lakshmi.

If you play on a high population server then it's going to be harder to make money as prices will be going down harder as more people put stuff up on the marketboard. Supply and demand plus a mix of undercutting. If you're in that situation then your best bet is to study the market board and find items that are in demand that you can make a profit out of. During Heavensward, I made a killing as a culinarian selling HQ raid food. Nobody was selling it as much as I was so I was able to dominate the market and set my own prices. Raiders have no choice but to buy from me or they buy my materials I also put up for sale if they want to craft themselves.
