Souls multiplayer has been trash since 2. After Das1, Fromsoft has done everything in its power to protect all those whiny babies. Des and Das1 are still the best in regards to multiplayer to me. Though admittedly, half of the covenants in Das1 don't even work but the basic summoning and invasion functions, the stuff that actually matters, worked like a charm from the start.

By Joe Skrebels From Software president and Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki has said that his studio is currently developing three games, and that one of them will be a new entry in the Armored Core series.

He does the actual trick around 4:40-ish. It's a pretty old trick now and I think the fastest route uses a different weapon meaning they take the Undead Burg path for the Black Knight Greatsword instead of the Valley of Dragon path to Darkroot for the Black Knight Halberd. Before, we used the Master Key to get to the Valley and grab the Red Tearstone Ring for sick damage, but after I stopped running the game they started finding shit left and right, including the path through New Londo so that the water would be lowered as well as a more safe approach for the Tearstone Ring. Shit got pretty crazy after I stopped.

Not really, you'd need to run through the house and climb up the ladder, which is A: risky as shit and pretty slow and B: a two-way trip, meaning you'd have to run back down again. Also, at this point in the run you wouldn't have a strong weapon so it'd be more of a fight than necessary. In short, it introduces more risk and is probably slower even if you count getting the bombs.

Looking back on the first Dark Souls, most of the areas and most of the game was shit, honestly.

Blight Town, the place with the ghosts with their bastard arms the go through walls, the sewers with Gaping Dragon, the shitty Oolacile areas with the OP enemies with OP magic attacks, Duke's archives, Crystal caves and the Catacombs were as bad, if not worse than Izalith.

Most of the areas that weren't badly designed were still dull shit with cheap enemies and just boring: Anor Londo (linear as fuck, badly-designed enemies, you see an enourmous city and never get to explorer it), The Royal Woods.

The only consistently goof part of the game was the very beginning, after ringing both bells the game wen t to shit.

The only parts that were good were the initial Undead Burg areas, the Gargoyles,Queelag fight, Sif, Artorias and Gwynn.

I think the only memorable part of the game after Anor Londo was the Kiln. It would have been nice if the game after Anor Londo was designed with the same feeling that the Kiln had. I mean, you are killing the decaying gods of old.

Maybe it's ok that only the Kiln had that sense of finality and the scars of the past.
