I feel so extremely sorry for gold players. There's gonna be a lot of threads from low ello players complaining about junkrats changes in a few days from now.
The hero was trash and it's almost never seen in competitive, but it's common knowledge that gold players suffer from playing agaisnt him the most.
Two stacks of c4 and an increase of 33% on his riptire speed. I can already imagine gold/plat ranked matches are gonna be a fight of which team has the best junkrat lol

When I played a year ago he wasn't competitively viable even with the one hit combo. Never really felt like it was overpowered and I never once played him.

I don't really care too much about balancing in a game like Overwatch where both teams can switch characters at any point they want and you don't have to level shit up

As of right now all of Roadhog's alternatives are more useful than he is in every way. There's no reason to use him anymore, because his kit was good at one thing, and now there's a new character that does that exact thing he used to do.

They removed his crits from headshot. Added a mobile heal. Slightly made his gun more accurate.

They need to revert both characters.

The difference is safety.

Hog can hook and one shot most of the cast as well as be able to burst down tanks extraordinarily quickly with frankly no risk to his person due to his hook and heal.

DF on the other hand has to charge up his attack which launches him into the enemy team and leaves him vulnerable for counter attack. Has both less health and no way to really heal in comparison.

Even when Hog missed a hook, it wasn't ever nearly as punishable as when DF misses a punch.

Blizzard still has PTSD from the sheer amount of scrub bitching that Bastion created at release, and remember that he was (and still pretty much is) the worst character in the game bar none at the time. Non tanks though, short ranged chars can get fucked over pretty hard by virtue of being short ranged. Sym, DF if Bastion is already set up, and Reaper immediately spring to mind.

As a zen main, he doesn't need a buff. The only thing that's annoying is that sombra's emp which has a fast charge rate instantly sends you down to 50hp because it removes your shields. Basically a free kill.
