That actually wasn't bad, when I heard about the kof anime I thought it would suck, I'm pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out.

my only problem with this show is that, its kinda rushing its world building. i know that SNK been around for a long time and by now, i'm sure most SNK fans know how shit goes down but i feel the narrative would be stronger if they just focus on the first Fatal Fury game and only use those characters for a few episode then move on to Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury 2, then into KOF. they could have also introduce characters from other franchise as a way to allude to their importance to the lore. but that's just me. still enjoyed it.

Actually, the first parts should be pre-art of fighting/pre-fatal fury really. They got to explain the Orochi of course at first to hint that it is a KoF series, but then jumps to Geese, Chen sin Zan and Jeff training under Tung, showing the relationship of the four before Geese despises all of them for him not being chosen to possess one of the Jin scrolls. Chen on his part went his own way while Geese in spite kills Jeff which leads to Terry and Andy wanting revenge. This then jumps to the Art of fighting saga in which Ryo and Robert learns of Yuri's kidnapping, orchestrated by Mr.Big and Geese to keep Takuma in line and... well you know how it goes.

I kind of want Ralf and Clark to be part of it too, but do remember that both of them did not show up story-wise until the Rugal saga. Both of them only show up when they are tasked to join the KoF tournament when Rugal was the host and not Geese. But then, perhaps they might show in the side line observing the tourneys under Geese.

joking aside, i agree, they should have started out that way, and work their way up while making references to other games and characters, including Psycho Soldiers and ikari warriors.
it kinda sucks how rush everything is and now we just gotta deal with it but on one hand, i am pretty happy this show exist at all. i hope they improve the quality as time goes on.
