S3&K, is probably the one I have the best memories of. Which is why I refuse to ever play it again, lest I lift the nostalgia veil, and discover that I now hate it.

Sonic 3. I think it has the most consistently good zones. I love the final battle. Hate sandopolis in & Knuckles.

Ironically, most modern "choices matters" games nowadays, like ANYTHING from Telltale, or Life is Strange, has ABSOLUTELY fucking nothing on Shadow the Hedgehog's gameplay based choice system.

Well the point of Shadow the Hedgehog is, not despite- but BECAUSE of the Edge, that he's capable of saving, destroying, or at least changing the world in drastic ways, and there's realistically no one on (or off) the whole world who can stop him.

The true ending basically has him shut himself down and exile himself to the Space Colony Ark. Before Rouge eventually conscripts him into GUN.

personally not my favorite that may go for Sonic 1 MS, but StH is one of the most ambitious projects from the sonic team, after i replay it it may turn into my favorite.

Great plot, it was REALLY fun to replay Sonic Tails, Knuckles and even Gamma's stages.

Adventure 2 is still fun, but it doesn't feel as fluid, but it definitely has a better story.

I miss the kind of stories we got from Adventure 1 and 2

I've really liked every Sonic game I've played. Even the poorly received ones like '06 and Sonic Riders. Sonic CD stands out the most in my memory from the classic games, but the Sonic Adventure games are still my favorites probably because nostalgiafag.

CD is easily the worst game, it goes against everything a Sonic game should be, and when people are talking about this game they're referring to the christian whitehead version. The Original release is complete trash.
The only good zone in Sonic and Knuckles is Flying Battery zone.

I like a lot of the Sonic games. My 'favorite' literally depends on my mood: my first thought was Sonic Battle, but if I saw this thread an hour earlier I might have said some hipster shit like Sonic Riders. Maybe even SA1:DX, Gamegrumps gaslighting webms aside.

I refrain judgement from games I haven't played, but I unironically think the worst game is Sonic '06 and seeing people compared Heroes to 06 blows my mind. At least Heroes is functional; I couldn't play past the third level of 06 out of frustration.
