No, 2003 Wrath is absolutely superior compared to Brotherhood's. 03 Wrath is a pissed off kid and shows it 80% of the time, like his moniker. 03 Envy is also jealous af to Ed and Al for actually connecting to their father, where as he was a cast aside experiment gone wrong.

Brotherhood Wrath didn't show anger barely at all. Pride was a much more fitting name for Bradely.

But it makes sense. The whole point is to stop the homunculus in a flask from literally becoming a God. Which he did, but he was stopped literally in seconds due to a carefully thought out plan. Yeah the final battle was stupid what with all the "GO ED YOU CAN DO IT" bs, but the development overall was fine. And the contrast was well done, it showed how hopeless the situation would have been if Ed and Al's father hadn't thought of a way to stop him before hand.

Brotherhood's problem was that it rushed past all that establishing stuff early on. This meant two things

In addition, because so many plot elements later in the series use the early stuff as the moral core (ie: hughes' death) the fact that they rushed it created a really imbalanced effect where the stuff we're supposed to care about the most gets the least detail.
