Doesn't 5 have Exits like the previous games?
>>386798878
Why would I need to defend it when it's on an invincibility square?

It's 4 screenshot, but yes.

The game gives you plenty of ways to re-position enemies. Use them.

Cockatrice's evility prevents you from using Specials, and you can't Lift+Throw on the base panel.

>Masked Hero/Angel lift
>Use a Mothman to lure it away, you have invincibility panels to help with this
You have options.

how strategical is this series? on a scale of FE5 to awakening?

Probably around Sacred Stones. The story has you think strategically, as do the Chara World (random dungeons to boost your characters), Item World (random dungeons to boost your items--both have you think on conservation), and X-Dimension maps (hard maps that force you to think in a certain way to complete them). Aside from that, there's level grinding.
>>386800619
I dunno about that scale but it CAN be tactical but due to the scale of it you can easily brute force a ton of it.

Honestly, not too much, D3 or D4 are weird though. D1, 2, DD2, and 5 are probably just around Awakening, except your team gets (kind of) Galeforce off the bat (Lift and Throw is totally different, but has similar, if not larger implications on unit mobility).
Disgaea 3 and 4 are much, much more offensive games, so it actually gets slightly more tactical.
Most of the "strategy" of disgaea happens before you hit the map in your set ups, and with geo effects. Now, it's possible to play a more strategic game if you do shit like not grinding, but then "muh self-imposed challenge" fags start shitting up the joint.
Would you guys recommend the Disgea games for their gameplay even though a person hates weebshit? They seem interesting but I'm just not sure if I would be able to get past the weebshit.

If you don't overgrind, it's a surprisingly complex and strategic game. If you desired, you could play a game very similar to, if not noticeably deeper than FE if you swore off overgrinding and used some of the more thoughtful classes instead of roflstomping the game with the MC or a female warrior. The game is structured so that you can brute force anything though.

Yes. Honestly, there isn't too much weebshit, and what weebshit is there, is mostly genera criticism anyways.
Gameplay-wise, they are great SRPGs, even if you don't like grinding for days for the post-game content.

I wouldn't really call them weebshit. iirc, D4 has the most weebshit, but it's just someone being called a tsundere and that's it. Aside from that. there's just humor sections at the end of every episode that are meant to be plays on basic genres (like pic related), but they're short and can even be skipped. The humor's straightforward, self-contained and solid aside from that, and I think a lot of what makes Disgaea fun is the voice acting and the battle system. If you like SRPGs, you'll probably like this.

Apart from overuse of lolis, various anime/game shoutouts in special skills and item descriptions, and basically taking a dump on established anime tropes now and again, the weeb isn't very strong with Disgaea. Disgaea 4 or DD2 is probably the weebest, but 4 is dwarfed by the absolute lunacy of Valvatorez in general.
