More or less. Aside from 1 stealing Halo 1's weird moon jump, it gives almost the exact same vibe as HL to me. 2 just feels and plays like Halo 2 as well except for much better multiplayer.

I remember playing the shit out of it with my little brother. The bots were handmade and leveled up with you, they had names and they almost felt like actual players.

Creative mode is a thing anon, It was my only way to beat this fucking game because the fault in mercenaries did nothing but headshots, the fucking train level made me break a mouse. That fucking insane power gap near the end made me question my skills in games.
