It's fun. It has a shit ton of different dinos but contrarians hate it because of muh early access Survival meme.

Extremely grindy unless you have a big tribe. Haven't played in months but I remember my first Rex (playing solo PVP) taking roughly 8 hours to tame, just guarding it while it was unconscious and putting good in its inventory every half hour or so. Single player is alright for trying dinos out since you can console command them in, but boring as he'll without other people. Seems like they've been working on optimization since it ran like ass last year, don't know how the PS4 version adds up. Great idea, very flawed execution. Bear was my favorite mount, Quetz and anky for mat farming.

The end game is a ridiculous time sink takes 2 weeks + to raise dinos and between 4 - 12 hours+ for some tames and it runs like shit.

other than that though it has potential and can be really fun.

I tried this game. Ran around, punched trees and looked for dinos, often getting killed for it. Great fun for an hour.
