I gotta agree with this guy. instead of it feeling like Family Guy where they go "HEY LOOK, IT'S [videogame character]!" for 2 hours, they built a story using video games as the medium. That's what a movie should do. They knew what they wanted, and they did it soundly and without wasting anyone's time.

Settling on Sugar Rush as the main setting for most of the movie was retarded, it was 100% a safe move to ensure the average Disneygoer had a familiar "video game" land to associate with without be TOO video gamey, so a fucking kart racer that's more food humor than vidya humor, with it's closest real-life counterpart being M&M's racing

It felt like a major bait-and-switch considering the setup made it feel like Ralph would be jumping around more than a couple games
