it's almost like quirky Dreamcast games, things like Blue Stinger and Illbleed. It's clunky but it has charm, it's like an open world Silent Hill that doesn't take itself seriously. The Twin Peaks inspiration is similar to the kind of inspiration Zelda games took, like Ocarina of Time. It's a very Japanese perception of American lifestyles, like Earthbound. You just have to play it.

No, it's not good, and yes it is a meme.
But it's still delightful to play. It's weird, it's funny, it's spooky, and the gameplay is passing enough to make it all bearable. It really is a must-play imo.

Skies of Arcadia is pretty comfy.

All you do is ride around the open skies looking for adventure, fighting whoever gets in your way and try your best to sail around the world.

Plot elements also stop you from doing so, but overall it's pretty comfy.
