I actually don't mind it, but I get where you're coming from. What annoys me is when you defeat the divine beasts they have that laser sight across the landscape, it's an eyesore. This is why I took these screenshots in my new save.

But rabid fanboys somehow mental gymnastics their way into thusly excusing any flaws the game might have with shit balancing issues for people like me who enjoy exploration before tackling the main quest IF it is optional and missable

To answer your question, I explored as much as I felt satisfactory before doing the main quest at all simply because I could. My issue here is, as previously stated, that this ruined the last 3, maybe 4 hours of my playthrough by making everything main quest related completely trivial

Try putting yourself in my shoes, it should not be so hard to understand where I#m coming from

Anyway, the game has many flaws, sorry if you encountered a lot of rabid fanboy types that ignored them, but if you ask me every zelda game has had the flaw of being far too easy - it's certainly not an issue exclusive to Breath by any means. In fact, if anything, the beasts are more challenging than most other zelda dungeons due to their focus on navigational puzzles over combat, dungeon items, or block puzzles like past games; but that's just my opinion.

i'm still a fan of games that focus more on stylistic graphics over realism

realism will always end up looking dated (although we are plateauing super hard), but you can probably look at pic related in 50 years and still think it looks good.
