Resident Evil 7 VR is the most revolutionary game nobody played.
This is the most revolutionary thread no one read.

>most revolutionary game
It really isn't.
It's well done and the VR really adds to the immersion but the 'revolutionary' part just didn't happen.
I was pleasantly surprised devs didn't fill the game with jump scares.
Wish there was more polished 'AAA' VR contents not just indies cashing on the fad.

Nope. Not even a little bit. No one is going to say RE7 changed games, like it was a masterpiece on the likes of REmake or Re4. All it did was use VR and not suck. RE7 was already forgotten a month after it cameout.

VR is a gimmick on par with the Wiimote and 3D
>>386732053
Umm no sweetie that'll be Skyrim VR
>>386732704
hahahaha
that's not Star Trek
>Make it PSVR exclusive
kek, no wonder nobody played it
That said a horror game in VR isn't anything new, DOOM 3 has had VR support for a while

Maybe because the best part about it was locked away behind a 400 dollar headset.

>All it did was use VR and not suck.
some might say that, in and of itself, is revolutionary.

You know there's more PSVRs out there, than Oculus and Vive headsets, right?
so how about that DLC
>>386732776
Yeah but doom 3 is also shit.
Do you think there will be a massive spike in sales once VR is available for PC?
>>386733585
>massive spike
No, VR = small niche and there's also piracy to consider.
>>386733585
Spike? No, but it will definitively help long term sales.
RE7 is an essential VR game.
