I feel like the hitboxes in DC are way to tiny. Fighting never felt as smooth as streets of rage or final fight.

The whole 2.5D thing never felt right to me. Like you could be chucking a boulder or summoning a twister towards the enemy but god forbids they step a meter up or down and that's a miss.

The one thing games like streets of rage got it right was keeping the combat and the combos simple so that it won't interfere with the movement, or vise versa.

I don't understand why people praise odin sphere so much. It was way to repetitive for how long it was. I mean ffs, muramasa was way shorter and had more bosses.

Muramasa definitely did it better in the bosses department. They were more varied than Odin Sphere that's for sure. But man it's hard going back to Muramasa after Odin Sphere after how free the combat felt in OS.

I'm playing it right now. I'm enjoying the interwoven storylines and different fighting styles. I mean I loved Muramasa too, but it had much less to offer in terms of combat and was generally more repetitive.

I just finished Momohime's story and maybe do some of the DLC stories. And then do Kisuke's story. That was the plan so far.
