It's an strange game. Somehow manages to give a good closure to the series but at the same time is full of plot holes or at least weird shit that makes no sense. Gameplay is good but the first half of act 3 is pure shit and the crying wolf fight is not that fun thanks to the snow and minor enemies.

CUTSCENES!

I enjoyed the three chapters where you actually get to play MGS though. If you combine the first part of 2 and the smidgen of gameplay in 5 where you actually do some sneakan, you'll get three. I don't know why they made an entire level a stealth mission into an on-rails shooter.

The story, especially the ending, was the worst kind of roller coaster.

It did some damage to MGS lore by trying to explain every supernatural thing in it. And backpedalling on the dumb possession through arm, might've as well commited to it but instead they only made it worse with an even dumber twist of hypnosis.
Too few codec calls, but I guess the cutscenes make up for it.
Every BnB member didn't have a defining personality of their own, instead they were backed up by Drebin's sad stories (trying to one-up the previous BnB member's story in terms of miserability) after every single fight.
I actually liked the amount and length of cutscenes and how it wrapped everything up storywise.

Left a bad taste in my mouth. Every two steps, a cutscene. Linear as all hell. The story, terrible pacing.

Final area was more cutscene than gameplay. Cutscene cutscene cutscene. It was infuriating, and a great example of every shitty corridor shooter game that plagued the genre in the later 2000's.

If it wasn't a gift, I'd have refunded it.
