Shit, I'm not at home, but some months ago I took a quick photo of my Steam download speed, the day I got the optic fiber installed.
IIRC, I'm at about 980Mb/s download, 860Mb/s upload, and 1-2 ms ping, on these tests.

Best part is I'm paying this 9,99 euros per month, with land phone and TV included. I swear to God, France is blessed for internet connection. I even have a friend who's paying like 1,99 per month for his internet (but he has like half the speed of mine, and no TV, but it's still a fucking sweet deal) subscription.

And mobile phone subs are also fucking cheap now : I have like 500Go data, and unlimited calls / sms for ONE (1) euro per month.

23 up, 11 down.

I'm pretty stoked on it because I only use my phone as a hot spot. My unlimited plan really seems to be unlimited so far, I download games and stream shit. So much better than phone only thing I was doing for the longest time.

Cable internet doesn't come to my house. Fuckers.

Is there any reason why people usually lag with other people within their area and not across the US coast?

Ive been running into an issue where if im playing with a friend a couple blocks down ill lag, but not with someone from colorado or new york etc....why is that?


Does it have to do more with individual internet connection or more so the games server?
