You mean like the Licht Kreis trio, the Amnesia gang, and the New Yato? The Yato guys are all pretty fast other than that, but outside of that the only similarities I see are with Enkidu and Hilda both having swirly energy effects on some attacks.

Like you said, the yato are all speedy fastguys who can teleport

Licht Kreis (and ex member wald) have extremely strong forward rushing specials and high damage, but no proper projectiles and their moves tend to be pretty linear in direction

Amnesia members can all make you feel like an asshole for pressing buttons, gord/hilda/chaos because they can control large amounts of the screen and turn stray range hits into a full combo, while enkidu just has strong counters and can do HUEG damage if he counterhits you

The middle schoolers have midair projectiles that cover huge amounts of the screen, a ton of aerial command normals, some of the more legit crossups in the game and ambigious overheads out of their dash normals

The two characters that use FLS instead of EXS (merk and vatisita) can both fly, have very fast fullscreen zoning tools in laser/extendo arm (that even work at similar angles) and a spam/multihit force function

Lastly the three unafiliated characters hyde/carmine/byakuya are maybe the most well rounded characters in the game with a focus on taking you to the corner in one combo and then keeping you there with simple but effective projectile oki that only really works in the corner

even the guest characters have a lot of simliarities, with the airthrows, the mid air jumps and the shoto-esque moveset with a divekick. this could all be bullshit but it seems pretty consistent

The characters were designed with some of the larger story implications involved so that could be plenty true. You pointed out a lot more similarities than I've noticed too. The Amnesia crew all cruise on the ground instead of running too
