It was only shit because they gave you no option to get the countries back if they fucked you with RNG.

Long War fixes this but unfortunately it fucks up the rest of the game.

Honestly dude, you might just be bad. There's a bunch of other things that can piss you off in the game but you should be prepared for satellite rush after your first game over.
