V was easily the best in terms of gameplay, characters (in terms of movesets), character designs, and character creator. Too bad it's easily the worst in terms of story, roster, characters (in terms of personality) and content. Overall either 5 or 2 are the best, 5 for pure gameplay, 2 for the overall package.

I got 2 on GameCube as a kid exclusively to play Link, I played the entire weapons master mode as Link and played around with some other characters in VS mode, mostly the Tonfa girl and the scimitar guy, I can't remember their names because I haven't played in years until just a few days ago. I've completely lost my touch

Actually I'm hoping to get back into the series on one of the newer titles
