Who cares about the 90s. The 00s were arguably better for skateboarding games.

EA Skate ruined the genre. They emphasized realism over fun and everyone lost interest.

THPS 1 - THUG is like the best video game run of all time.

It's like the perfect franchise, until they fucked it up. Almost everyone can agree that the first three games were fucking amazing and the rest at least good or great.
I kind of liked 4 the best, because the mission structure was really neat and just skating around was fun on its own.

Skate culture is sort of intertwined with Jackass in a way, so I find it hard to believe people would actually get upset.

Skate 1 & 2 were pretty good.

Not in the Bam Margera/Jackass style, but a more geniune skating experience.

Skating peaked mid 00s. It's no longer cool to hang out at the skatepark. Everyone is indoors playing minecraft

They're fun if you think of them as sandbox games rather than skate games. 3 was obviously the most fun due to the obscene glitches you could pull of. It's really weird how a game can gain such popularity from something unintended like that.

I thought THUG 1 and 2 were peak Skatekino until EA's Skate came around. I probably have 100+ hours in all three Skate games. I"m surprised nobody has brought up Eric Sparrow.
