I really enjoyed it as well. I went into it blind but ended up really liking the storytelling method, art style, mechanics, music; it was great. I'd pirated it initially and was going to buy it, but it ended up in a humble bundle I got which was a nice surprise as well.

Got it during the last Steam sale but haven't touched it yet.

How long is it for a normal playthrough?

I'm stuck on this game. I'm in the North and I got into a room where I kill like 3 birds and then like 4 more come flying in at me. Haven't been able to clear this room.

Probably 20-30 hours if you get everything. I got a couple weeks out of it playing after work.

That's only because getting everything involves a hell of a lot of boring backtracking and walking into walls. A normal playthrough would be closer to the 11-13 hour mark, and even that involves getting a decent amount of collectibles.
