Automata has equally strong themes but with larger variety and amount of them, not counting entire album of 8-bit arrangements and some really neat arrangements/callbacks of the themes from the first game that sound plain better in some cases like Wretched Weaponry

I still like the original Silent Hill's OST the best out of the series. It's the one that best served the game in creating an oppressive, scary atmosphere. Most people prefer the Silent Hill 2 OST and how it goes for a depressing mood, but I personally prefer the horror in the first game. I don't think 2 had any moments quite like when you run around a giant, pitch-black area in the other-school while heavy drums and industrial music blasts and in the end nothing is in there and the game was just fucking with you.

I also don't think any of the other games reached the level of the sewer ambience.
