Been playing 7th Dragon VFD and Stella Glow. Both are excessively easy due in part to level ups restoring hp/sp, but they're fun to play. Don't know what I'll play next.

I beat all my single player campaign games. I've been playing Splatoon 2, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, and Turf Masters on my Switch.

On my PS4 I've been playing SFV mostly. I beat BOTW, Fire Emblem Echoes, and FFXV for the most part.

Playing EO2U classic expert, just managed to beat the flame demon, tried to ignore the jellies the first time "because I have fire wall lv10 anyway :^)" and got allah'd pretty badly. Party is a mess with a landshark reclassed into a dark hunter, a protector, a witch jumping in front and backline every turn, and the gunner and alchemist being the guys that actually do some damage, even if the dark hunter is starting to drop 4 digits damage in the last fights

Well, you have a lot of fixed stuff like houses, castles, treasure chests etc. or place everything piece by piece, but you can't make custom sprites.

Still it is good as it is, I think that there are some DLC packs but I don't know if they already released those in the USA version.

if you care about single player X/Y are much better than sun/moon

X/Y are pretty safely designed, typical pokemon fare, but they have a lot of pokemon available very early. actually good ones too. you can have an actually useful team way faster than any game. whether or not you prefer this to other games (where you start out with a starter, a rat, a bird, a bug, and maybe a housepet for 2+ gyms, getting actually useful ones gradually as you play, but after its too late to utilize them fully) is up to you.

sun/moon have better movement (no skates), and no HMs (this is sort of a non-issue though due to the extreme linearity without them though), but they're a slow and basic tour of a pokemon game. the only highlight is that you battle a couple overleveled pokemon with high stats that arent piss easy. thats it. the "story" is marginally better than x/y but thats not saying much.

Sun and Moon are so cutscene heavy that you'll probably only want to go through the story once, and only because it gets you to endgame where you can competively battle your mons against other players online. I'm refusing to touch Sun and Moon again until I can put the living dex I'm working on (Gen 3 to 6) into Pokemon Bank

Currently nothing. I was playing the eShop version of Zelda Oracle of Seasons but I lost motivation with that. It seemed like a great game at first but it got more and more repetitive and tedious as I kept playing and then I just dropped it. I don't even know how far I am in it but if I had to guess I'd probably say something like 50-70% complete.

Ocarina of time 3D and Shantae Pirate's Curse are both waiting for me, although I've also been thinking of getting Shin Megami Tensei IV or Monster Hunter 3 because a friend of mine recommended those. Feel free to rec me my next game and also give me motivation to finish Oracle of Seasons.

That being said, all recs are very much welcome. I've played most of the obvious stuff like Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, Ace Attorney and Castlevania, but what else is there aside from the games that I already mentioned before? DS and 3DS games are both fine.

I haven't been enjoying the 3ds so far. The apps don't really work on it so it's not got the utility a console pc or phone does. And I'm more likely to just fiddle with my phone if I have a few minutes to spare rather than flipping my DS out.

I prefer DexNav. The stream of info on every encounter, the smoother inputs of Gen VI in general, and the attention paid to how far you push the pad to sneak do something for me that SOS doesn't. There's more being fed into my poor, stimulation deprived brain, maybe. I'd rather just Masuda it if I did it in Sun, it'd feel like a slog regardless, but one gets me Egg moves and I can hatch them elsewhere for a change in scenery.

I've been playing Kid Icarus Uprising. Had it for a long time but other games I really wanted to play came ahead of it.

Still not sure what I'll play next, I'm thinking Bravely Second or the new Layton game if it comes out before I'm finished with KIU.

Yeah I got it confused with XY, which is the one with the PokeRadar, not ORAS, which has the dexnav, sorry. I just prefer SOS chaining since it's almost impossible to fuck it up compared to Dexnav, which is very easy to mess up. Also I hate dexnav because I went through a 2000 Porygon chain without a single break, no shiny.

Slowly tackling FF12 HD. My backlog beyond huge, at this point I could stop buying games and be set for a few years with the way I play. I think I'll finally play Bloodborne after this, or play Yakuza Kiwami if FF12 runs me that long. Might save Yakuza for Thanksgiving/Xmas when I got a decent break though.

If you have/get a save dongle, you can migrate them all straight into the newer games with PKHeX.

Are you going to catch all the gen 4 pokemon in gen 4, and all the gen 5s in gen 5, and so on? I was considering going and catching each generation's pokemon in the proper games - gen 1 in FRLG, gen 2 in HGSS, etc.

I prefer Record Breaker due to the second story mode rather than the addons to the existing endings, but generally on /v/ Overclocked is more popular.
