You play GBF if you can tolerate mobage and want an RPG with turn based classic RPG elements but also raids, guilds and multiplayer, amazing character designs that appeal to every demographic and fetish with top notch VAs, some of the best music Uematsu has ever made, and a very addicting and satisfying (but incredibly long and painful) grind.

You play FGO if you like the Fate series/characters. That's it. There is literally no other reason whatsoever to play it.
