1.- He was a good asset, but the problem he was a necesary asset. If you compare the game trough the evolution of meta, youll see an increase of viable characters. Tank meta was so tight that a slight variation in the comp would be a handicap, and the Hog was a main reason of this. Nowaday all tanks except Roadhog and Orisa are viable. Healers are all good, and there is at least 5 dps options.

2.- Dive meta is good. Is an a ofensive strategy, and games that favours defense are a drag. To put on context, TF2 was always about dive too. You got your roamer and scouts trying to get a quick pick in the medic and that was it.

3.- The fact that road is not useful now is bad. But they tried to give him something when they change it. It didnt worked so they are trying to fix it. The best way to fix something like that is to take it out and go about it step by step, like they did with sombra. Wich now is a great spot.

4.- The minisentry was added in 2010, since realease they had this problem, you couldnt destroy it while it was asembling. It took them 3 years to fix them in a patch note that said "bug fix"

Watch Meet the Medic even if you never plan on playing the game.

There's advantages to both of them.

Resurrect and Uber are both massive game-changing events that can swing a battle majorly, but aren't unstoppable (Mercy's depend on alot of factors, Medics drops if he dies and can be delayed by a Pyro/Soldier/Demo)

Mercy is easily more mobile even if it depends on the team, and has the better main weapon at anything but super close range. She can also buff damage which is nice.

Medic's big advantage is in his unlocks. Kritz has alot of uses, Vaccinator is fun if you want to actually play the game and still be Medic, and Quick Fix....uh....Dual Rocket Jumping is great! But with the Crossbow and quite a few melee weapons that do all sorts of nonsense, it gives the Medic alot more flexibility than Mercy has.

Both fill the "Good And Reliable Healer" roll very well, though Overwatch has made me really yearn for more healing based classes in TF2.

First off...why R?

Second off the point was that opportunities for good Resurrects don't always present themselves.

You have to be alive as Mercy.

Your team has to die fairly close to each other, both in terms of distance and time.

You have to not get hacked by Sombra.

You have to not get shot by the enemy team before you get to where you need to be.

And you have to have your ultimate up when all this other shit happens.

Again, Medic can pop his Uber at any time he has it and probably get some use out of it, even if he has to pop and flee back to find a teammate when his intended uber target gets sniped or otherwise gibbed in an instant. He don't get to keep it if he dies, so pop or drop.

Mercy doesn't have to worry about that but if you use a Resurrect to only bring back one player, even if that was your tank or something else important, you'll probably live to regret it.

Besides I don't really understand the point of this. Even if one was just that much easier to use than the other, that doesn't take away from both being big, game swinging events.

It felt good because it felt like she rewarded good play. She is also the most "involved" of all the healers, and that's what I liked about her. As Ana there was always something for you to be doing, denying healing, healing, damaging enemies, Sleep Darting high-priority targets that are using their Ult. Mercy feels like a more boring Medic to play tb.h
The penalty of dieing as Medic (losing your Uber Charge) is also far greater then Mercy who keeps her ult on death.

What kind of argument is that? Are you baiting me? Her mobility is braindead. It doesn't open up options. Every single Mercy player uses it as an escape, pair up with Pharah, and for an easy Q. It doesn't require any complexity to it. I wouldn't even call it mobility since you have no control over it outside of picking a target. Everything is done for you. At least Lucio requires steering. Medic has options and strategies that switch him from a frontliner to a backliner and vice versa. Mercy can "move more freely" across the map only in relation to where her team mates are. That's not mobility. That's dependence.

The unfortunate truth we are all not willing to admit is we hate that Overwatch is built around whoever has the best synergy of their ults. Mercy is essential in that she makes that strategy redundant. The strategy of stacked ults falters when there's a possibility it can be reversed around and the opposing team carry out their own wave of Q's. Mercy is horrifyingly boring but she's essential to combating the irritating "Press Q to win" strategy.

Blizzard making all escape options obsolete with Zarya really says a lot about the direction they want this game to take.

For me its Lucio, I like playing a healing class who we all know is going to have the highest priority against an enemy team in the open so making him difficult to hit is an interesting take on it. He feels like such an aggressive character. Too bad Blizzard keeps trying to find little ways to make his battle strategy redundant. The amount of work I have to do as Lucio versus when I'm Zenyatta or Ana to make up as a secondary healer is outstanding. Plus his projectile damage is shit compared to other characters with hitscan. I never quite understood why Overwatch decided projectiles should be weaker than hitscan.
