It's fucking stupid but I love it. Junko best god.
enjoyable
It's nonsensical bollocks, but I play every game. Another Another Episode-type game would be nice.
literally "just turn of ur brain bro"
The crimes are so fucking easy to solve, especially if you've played Umineko.
Umineko gives you literally all the tools to solve Danganronpa.
I'm glad I "played" Umineko after DR and avoided going through the games as a miserable fuck
3 is horseshit

Fucking depressing game but I love it so much.
>>386649243
It's a fun series that doesn't take itself seriously. I also be down with more games like DRAE as well. I wish they animate DRIF and/or DR0 for an OVA, but at this point on they're probably going to focus on V3 which is understandable.
Is Danganronpa Kirigiri over?
a friend of mine is suggesting me the 999 series because i liked danganronpa. should i dive into it?

I don't know if it's still ongoing or not though.
>>386663107
It's similar in some ways, but it takes itself a lot more seriously. Gameplay wise, think of a whole game based off the Final Dead Room in Danganronpa 2, solving puzzles to escape rooms.
The first two games are on a HD Collection which you may want to look into which is out on Vita, PS4, and Steam. The third game ZTD is "complex," and should only be if you really want to wrap the plot up as it's a very mixed thing.

FICTION/10

My personal thought, no, MISSION, is that Saionji needs to be bullied all the time.
And I'm more than happy to oblige! Because I want to bully Saionji every day. I want to scold her to tears and throw her into pool. I want to take her gummies and eat them in front of her. Then I'll force-feed her with lemon-flavored gummies, palm after palm. I want to call her a stinky and take her panties so she has to going commando for the rest of the trip. I want to mock her inability to put her kimono by herself, so I'll strip her every once in a while, yelling what one day, she'll be glad to be able to dress up herself. Also, I'll take her kitty hairpins, making her long blonde hair cover her private parts. And when I'll give kimono back to her, I'll make sure to put Mr. Ants in every single pleat and Mr. Crab in her panties.
And when finally she snaps and try to bully me by any means possible, I'll spank her in front of everyone until she'll like it. And when she'll come to me, begging for another spanking, I'll mock her again, then spank her as if my life depends on it, laughing on her moans full of pleasure. Mere seconds before her climax, I'll throw her into pool once again, leaving her in her aroused state.
Promising premise that goes full retard.
Gameplay is fixated around not being Phoenix Wright but ends up using a system that is the equivalent of playing PW but every time you present evidence or press a statement you have to play a minigame ranging from mediocre to straight up bad.
Characters are usually quirky anime archetypes with the occasional highlight that doesn't do exactly what you expect them to do, and the plot is the kind of plot that gets dumber the longer it goes on.
The solutions to cases are more often than not trivial to figure out (Admittely this is better in 2 but remains a problem) due to the writings complete lack of subtlety in the hints, with the biggest impedement to your progress being formulating the right sentance (Meat on the bone) rather than actually figuring out how the murder happened.
Tonally inconsistant; Some characters posess superhuman abilities and display immense feats outside of cases (One dude summons mechas at will, one is a literal Dragon Ball Z character, and this one asshole is a robot) yet the logic employed in the cases themselves disregard this (outside of when its convenient) and jaringly take more a more grounded approach.
Literally the posterchild of "so bad it's good".
Good, shit community. I greatly enjoyed the first two games, yet to play the third.
>>386649243
I enjoy the first two, thought UDG was surprisingly well done for a company that previously only made VNs and am excited for the third. Also 2's twist was too easy to call.

>>386663515
thanks, will take a look on 999 soon.
is the whole game an escape the room or do they happen as often as, idk, the danganronpa trials? is there the same quantity of dialogue/character development?
>>386664781
This
>>386664972
There are multiple rooms. And yes, there is a lot of dialogue between escape rooms.
>>386664972
>is the whole game an escape the room or do they happen as often as, idk, the danganronpa trials? is there the same quantity of dialogue/character development?
There's a fair amount of puzzle rooms in each game (more then the trials in Danganronpa). They comprise the main game mainly though unlike Danganronpa, at certain points in each game, you can pick different choices, which lead to different puzzle rooms, and ultimately different scenarios and endings playing out. To get the best ending in each game, you basically have to go through all the different endings generally to find out information that helps you to the main true ending so to speak. The characters for the most part all get some decent screen time and moments to develop between each puzzle room section.
Is there a reason for why the art was so bad?
One of my favourite series. Its so fucking hammy and stupid, and that ticks a lot of boxes for me. Super excited to play V3, even though I'm spoiled on absolutely everything.
Is it true you can romance Kyoko in V3?
Should I play Umineko?
I always avoided it because fuck /jp/,
>>386667112
Avoid it
>>386666851
She does not appear on the game.
>>386666851
No, but there's a school sim and RPG game afterwards that feature the casts from the previous games as well.
Also, I'm surprised how much I like dub Miu. She's a complete bitch and it's so satisfying to watch her get called out on shit.
>>386667112
Yes, but it's less traditional murder mystery and more 'wait, why did this magic bitch show up and what's she supposed to be a metaphor for?' First episode drags a lot, but there's a lot of great moments in the whole thing and the music is top rate.
