XKCD has lots of mechanics. I knew nothing about the comic going in and yeah there's a lot of inside jokes, but you can just straight up ignore them like a normal human being and appreciate the gameplay. It really is the most intense idle game to the point where you can fuck up and have to fix your progress

A Dark Room is bad because the sudden ending. It's too short, and you do all that work for literally nothing. I guess it could be good for some people but I didn't appreciate the grind for that endgame

Candy Box 1 while unpolished and not as good as 2 is still better than cookie clicker. Cookie clicker isn't that complicated but has a decent amount of depth and graphics to where it's enjoyable by many. Cookie clicker is just babby's first clicker.

Thank god you didn't defend clicker heroes, I'd unplay every second of it if I could.
