Not really, as long as you use your wrench in appropriate times and use the ammo types to save other types you should be fine. The only spot I remember being low on ammo was the cargo bays from those giant mechs and lack of armor piercing bullets

It's scarce at the beginning which is when you should be using wrench as much as possible and armor-piercing bullets are harder to find but if you upgrade your standard weapon skill, get the upgrade that makes your bullets do 15% more damage, and do your best to not waste any you'll have more than enough. I had like 200 bullets leftover at the end of my last playthrough.

I didn't use it, I didn't use any PSI powers. The 15% damage increase is from one of the one time upgrade stations. It helps if you don't die a lot and save all the credits you find to buy bullets and a few maintenance tools too. I also used the shotgun until I ran out of ammo for that but still had plenty of pistol/rifle rounds like I said.

Best/most efficient way to go is to play a Navy guy focused on hacking and standard weapons, but for my last playthrough I did a melee/PSI run and it was a lot of fun
