Technically with "talent" you start un the same place but scale faster; my only redeeming quality is being an amazing piano player

t. failed man of science
>>
>>386646249
This and there's also a level for how far you can reach with just pure skill.
>>
>>386645838
Why is /pol/ and conservatives in general triggered by this?
He's not even blaming the talented for their "privilege" or whatever, just admitting that being outmatched by the gifted even when you hard work at something is frustating, nothing wrong with that.
>>
At best I'm above average, there has been random times where shit just fell into place and I went above and beyond. Wish it could be like that all the time.
>>
>>386646325
I'm really fucking dumb. My only redeem quality is my huge dick, I get treated like an amusement ride.

>Connections strengthened over time determined by completely arbitrary and seemingly meaningless variables like how comfortable your shoes are, how humid it is out, and what background noise was audible.
>perpetuates the inane myth of "innate talent"

These niggas are so fucking stupid and I hate them, every artist has this same fucking comic, where they think that someone was just born being da vinchi when they have been working at it for LITERALLY YEAAAARS!!!

meanwhile they are on hiatus year round and stuck in a shitty style that they defend all criticism of and refuse to try new things. "WAAAAAH why arn't I improving!?"
>>

Artists are the biggest faggots, I fucking swear.

People hate admitting that sometimes no matter how much hard work if you have no you can never catch up to people who is.

Even worse is when they actually believe that talented people don't work just as hard to get good at things.

>>
>>386647646

That's the stupidest thing ever. They practice their damn art. The only reason why someone would supposedly be "good" than the other person is mentality. If someone if drawing thinking "well fuck, I never drew anything before" and the other person isn't thinking the same despite never drawing before, what is gonna happen? There's no logic behind talent.
>>
>>386647994

>Who replies something like that to a girl IRL anyway?

Because it didn't happen. She is just strawmanning like most female webcomic artists.
>>
I'm really good at fighting games and pretty good at some shooters.
>>
>>386648116

Bullshit, I know tons of people who are good at drawing but don't practice and think it's a waste of time.
>>

>I know tons of people who are good at drawing but don't practice and think it's a waste of time

How do you know they aren't lying? When it comes to art you can easily hide that shit. Your friends could be drawing porn for all you know and claim they hate art.
>>
>>386647406
I'd say that the main thing behind talent isn't even aptitude, it's enjoyment of the learning process. I struggled for 9 years learning how to draw and hated every moment of it because I hate drawing but like making art. I didn't improve very much. But within a week of picking up a welder I was making pretty damn good sculptures out of steel because not only was it intuitive, but doing it was fun.

There are only a few people who start off incredible, that's not talent that's genius. But what most people call talent is actually just people that like doing the practice and so do it all the time. so while the normal person makes sure to draw at least an hour a day and feels like they're working hard because practice feels like work, the talented person is drawing 5 hours a day and enjoying it, not only are they doing more but they are feeling positive about the experience which speeds up improvement even more.

"Talent" just means "Willing to work harder than you and not bitch about it"
>>

not really. the only time i was kind of good was when i was NEET and playing over 40 hours a week on one game, which allowed me to play it competitively. After that I stopped playing games for a couple years, and just got back into it. I'm absolutely bad - barely plat in overwatch, and i dont even bother setting the difficulty to hard on a single player game. Oddly though, I enjoy games more now so I don't mind.

Nothing.

I play video games since I was 6 years old, now being 27 with no social experiences and /v/ and rest of the internet will always be happy to prove that I dont know jack shit about video games, that Im worst player ever and I should unplug my PC forever.

Im a failture. Thanks for making me realize this and thanks internet for making sure that I wont think otherwise. Oh and school that was always pointing out that I shouldnt feel proud about anything I ever done since somebody else did it faster, earlier and better. I suppose the goal was to make me work hard for more, it made me question why I should even try in first place.

No? The only real mention of homosexuality in the Qur'an is the story of Lot, which is fairly ambiguous. It certainly seems to condemn homosexual relationships but it could also be referring to wanton sexual behavior, or rape. It definitely doesn't discuss any type of practical legal punishment either

It's what's popular with their readers. They think "wow this is so relatable I have """"depression""""" too!"
Obviously they don't have depression and they're doing it for attention. I was legitimately going to kill myself at one point, and I wouldn't even call that actual depression. I was just heartbroken and wasn't thinking straight. It's not just tumblr and reddit that does it, just make a "Kirby inhales you, what power does he get?" thread on here and see what people post.

>You can't stay a christian if you pick and match and say you don't like and want baptism or have a polygamous marriage
Literally all christians pick and match - some do a little bit of it, some do a ton.
For example, in christian countries, atheists are greatly underrepresented in prisons. Implying that most criminals - murderers, rapists, pedophiles, terrorists - must be christian.
They always find a way to make it totally moral by their religion.

Whoever made this is really salty. Talent is a meme excuse because half the time someone "talented" just quickly passed through plateaus in something because of a better beginning approach/more drive then alot of other people half assing something. To call hard work talent is just to degrade someone because they put more quality into their work.

Ahistorical. The secular governments of 50s-80s were far superior to the islamic ones of today. They were toppled when the CIA created the predecessor to Al-Qaeda and the Taliban to install a (hopefully) US-aligned government. This is what they did all over the world. Look at Iran's theocratic state today compared to the one the US and UK overthrew in the 1950s.

>people actually got butthurt over this

>when islam is against that
It's not really that straight forward. Homosexuality is only really forbidden because the institution of marriage is exclusively between a man and a woman, and any type of sexual relationship outside of wedlock is illegal. It's literally only explicitly mentioned once in the Quran and it's in the context of "sodomy", which is why jurists and Quranic scholars argue about the permissibly of anal sex with a woman. Lots of bullshit hadith about it though I suppose. Trans is obviously not mentioned at all since it wasn't understood to exist.

Decades of nolife FPS gaming have honed my hand-eye coordination to peak human performance. My carefully conditioned reaction times and twitch reflexes easily beat those of the black-tailed mongoose known for its speed, and I am capable of moving my forearm muscles with robotic precision.

Carefully listening to enemy footsteps in Counter-Strike has tuned my hearing to the point where I can hear the heartbeat and respiration of a hare fifty yards away, and immediately pinpoint its location in complete darkness. Identifying enemy weaponry and equipment by its sound has familiarized me with thousands of military and civilian weapons and vehicles; I can easily recognise a Hind-D even over the sound of a thunderstorm.

Peering at individual pixels while holding the most minuscule of corners has sharpened my eyesight to almost raptorian levels. Camouflage is all but useless against me. I can read 12pt text written in Comic Sans from up to 74 feet away, and can identify a monitor's refresh rate with three hertz precision up to 638Hz. Wearing my stylish and comfortable Gunnarâ„¢ gaming glasses has protected my eyes from near-sightedness as a result of staring at a screen all day.

My incredibly low mouse sensitivity has toned my upper body muscles to those of a professional athlete. Being perfectly ambidextrous, I alternate my mouse hand to balance the gains on both sides of my body. Playing Ingress and Pokemon Go during scrimming off-days has kept my lower body in shape too.

"good at games" guy reporting in. i'm also pretty good at learning stuff outside video games, like math or whatever

i'm good at whatever games where i can rely on intuition, muscle memory and reading other people. so i tend to do well in PvP games, shooters, brawlers, assfaggots too.

a lot of people in my life have noticed me always stomping in whatever game, and them saying it's an innate talent annoys me. my good vidya gameying skills are derived from me being an autistic fuck who refuses to give up on something until i master it or get bored. i will spend 7 hours in a row failing at something, and then i will get it right once and i will be satisfied with myself. the only "talent" i have is having a dopamine release when i outdo myself.

I have not only improved physically, but mentally as well. Tens of thousands of shitposts on various community forums such as HLTV, Crossfire, and /v/ have made me a social and literary genius. My shotcalling experience has transformed me into an inspiring leader, and playing CS:GO matchmaking in the EU has given me an understanding of international relations rivaling that of most foreign ministers. I might have a promising career in politics ahead of me once I quit esports after achieving everything a gamer could possibly want to achieve.

Having to learn dozens of different games and hundreds or thousands of different maps has improved my memory and learning capabilities. My natural genius and calm, analytical character have obviously helped greatly as well. During the time it takes for me to walk from the bicycle rack to the front door of the grocery store, I can memorize the license number of every car in the parking lot and perfectly recall them days later.

Interacting with the international gaming community has made me fluent in five languages, including Japanese, Russian, and Korean. I speak them all with only the slightest accent, completely imperceivable to all but the most astute of listeners, and write them with impeccable grammar. My combined vocabulary across all the languages I know is over 150 000 words.

This is what it means to be a gamer. I am by no stretch the only one. There are many like myself, and we are the future of mankind.

Success is balance of talent, hard work and luck.
The amount of each one you need for something differs from one thing to another, and each of them can compensate the lack of one.
The most talented and hardworking guy can get shit if he never had the chance to show his skills, and at the same time, getting the chance to do so is useless if you don't have the necessary level at that moment.

Therefore, my motto would be: "Work hard, don't think too much about talent, try to improve yourself at your own pace and take as much chances to show what you can do as possible"

Because my brain is hardwired to think I still live in a small tribe and the knowledge that someone is better than me means that my chances of passing on my lineage are in the gutter because even though there are 7 billion people on the world I'm programmed to think there are only 70 and how am I going to find a mate when all 35 women in the village are going to want to fuck Johnny Depp and Bill Gates instead of me.

That is actually a problem in modern society, we got too huge and too connected too fast and so there's dissonance. It's why you get unreasonably upset when someone is better than you even if they live on the other side of the world. Your instincts don't understand you're watching some 10yo bust out sick riffs on a computer screen and you'll never actually meet them or compete with them, it's just screaming OH FUCK NOW ALL THE WOMEN WILL WANT HIM INSTEAD OF ME.

>HURR WORK HARDER

Work smarter you baboon. Work smarter. No matter how much you draw, if you can't figure out the tricks to smooth curves and proper shading, your art will NEVER improve and will instead plateau before stagnating. Like 90% of the tumblr artists out there.

It's the same with video games. You don't brute force your way through in Monster Hunter. You get smarter. You learn.

You don't spend 6 years in school for a doctorate and then expect to just get the job that opens up. You have to network, get to know people, and find your way in. You have to work SMART, not HARD. Hard work is for people who have no drive in life and wind up doing shit like retail or menial labor.

Yes, but not so much against people. This was an annoying problem given how expensive games were. I beat them too fast, even with 100% completions. I just had a knack for thinking like a game developer.

One time one of my friends was looking for a power up item that was hidden in a game, it took me just a few minutes to find it because it was hidden exactly where I would have hid it. Weak spots, tactics and just about anything else just seems obvious to me. It even works with AI in high speed fighting games, but not with human players. So I can beat the game senseless, even with punishing settings, but often lose to other players.

Wind Waker was the worst, I beat it in 14 hours on the first run and that was with me leaving it running for lunch and bathroom breaks. I think I could beat it in 6 hours if I actually tried more, compared to the 4 hour is the world speed record other do.

I beat Boss > Boss kills Everyone
yet
Everyone beats me

It is largely why I stopped playing games. They were just too easy and there were other less expensive ways to have fun.

I'm inclined to say no. I think my successes in games are built more on stubbornness than actual skill. Even if I do progress further into a game than most might or get difficult achievements that few other players seem to, it's only because I'm more willing to go through the repetitive struggle instead of giving up. That's not really a skill, just a personality defect.

i'm good at rhythm games in general since i spent years playing guitar hero and i played piano as a kid. i started playing project diva on max diffuculty right off the bat, and scored 90+ on prety much rhythm heaven game on firt try.

other than that i'ma average i guess. i can finish most of the games i play on the highest difficulty is i practice enough. but not all. i also am an autistic achievement whore so i try to 100% every game i play or go as close as i can with my level of skill.

fuck serious sam, i will never finish that shit singleplayer on serious, let alone mental,
it's fucking impossible

i could also beat s-hard on pokemon puzzle league as a little kid, and if i pick up a controller right now, i still can.

are you lying or just illiterate?

quick rundown of recent (post WW2) afghan history:

until the late 70s, afghanistan was a monarchy. things were mostly stable.
then the local moscow-backed communist party staged a coup and ousted the king.
then local reactionaries rose against the soviet backed communists, starting an insurgency. washington supported them.
then the afghan communists broke ties with moscow.
then the USSR ordered an intervention, both to quell the anti-communist rebellion in afghanistan and to replace the local uppity communist leaders with moscow loyalists. they succeeded in taking over the government, but they did not succeed in quelling the rebellion.
then came an entire decade of insurgency and guerilla warfare against soviet occupation that devastated the country.
then came the soviet withdrawal, followed by more unrest and the eventual taliban takeover.
then came 9/11 followed by the US invasion.

you kids and your retardedly simplistic view of history are really fucking sad

i'm a naturally gifted artist, really good at drawing ever since i was a kid. then, i went to art school and got lazy because i could cost through most of the assignments. i started focusing less on drawing and more on photography, film.

i saw a kid that i swear to fucking God could barely draw a stick figure go from that to being a better illustrator than me. how did he do it? he spent every day practicing and drawing and sketching, while i was working on different stuff. however, he never held a candle to a different kid that was both super talented and ALSO drew every day.

The thread is making s false dildmma between talent and overachiving. You can have talent and do nothing with, just like how you can work hard, and accomplish nothing. The facility of your work ethic and your natural talent has nothing to do with your efficacy in solving problems because problem solving is not a virtue like hard work or talent, it's a learned ability.

>That's kind of a horrible way of thinking
No, that is actually a really healthy way of thinking.
The real question is: how do you further interpret that. Because you can view this mostly accurate statement as a sign of some kind of either failure, or injustice (as in "I DESERVED to be someone globabaly relevant, but SOMETHING or SOMEONE betrayed me and deprived me of that option). That is indeed a terrible, terrible interpretation, which will lead either to self-loathing, or resentment.
Self-loathing is going to kill you.
Resentment is going to kill and probably kill some other people too.

On the other hand, you can interpret this as an admission of poorly constructed and defined goals in life, and opportunity to re-design them. Because honestly, the problem is not that most of us won't become great writers, artists, politicians... but the fact that we deluded ourselves into thinking that is what life is supposed to be about and work towards.

So if you treat this admission right, it should lead you to realization that securing smaller, more realistic goals and values, such as becoming a decent person, becoming a decent partner, maybe becoming a decent parent is actually FAR more realistic, far more attainable, but EQUALLY as satisfying and gratifying.

So no, it's really not inherently a bad way to think - it's just that the thought process must not end just with this realization.

>>

Well, the most vocal people from /pol/ are usually radical alt-right, and alt-right has usurped the term "conservative" much in the same way radical left usurped the term "liberal".
Sure, /pol/ is by no means conservative in the traditional sense (and leftists are not liberals in traditional sense), but they sure as fuck want others to think that is who they are. And since they are so god-fucking-damn vocal and aggressive and pushy, and surrounded with additional layers of fucking "ironic" imitators and falsefaggers too, it's not really surprising that people are associating pol with conservativism.

Yeah but you're ignoring the etymological and semiological standards of talent. Talent is being able to suck dick so well that it turns you both on, IQ is being able to determine the pattern in what your partner likes orally. They're mutually exclusive, you can't be talented and have a high IQ and be a savant, you can however be talented and a savant, or have a high IQ and be a savant. The test is designed to measure your ability in learning new things through patterns and problem solving, if you were talented, you could still fail miserably on an IQ test and be really good at playing video games or sucking cock.

None of them could do what the other does, but that doesn't mean they don't have high IQ. Both Beethoven and Mozart would score high on an IQ test, for instance, their capability to do math is irrelevant in this case.

I'm arguing a semilogical standard, one of meaning and signs.

You aren't making sense anymore. Someone who is a "natural" does not have a high IQ, he has a talent. Someone who is cunning, clever or a "wolf," is predisposed to high intelligence quotients. The two are mutually exclusive, you cannot be a Golden Boy and a Braniac, you're doing some paternalistic nirvana nonsense in where all the words mean the same thing.

You can however be a Golden Boy and a savant, someone who is a learned man through practice. But you cannot be a Golden Boy with a dream level IQ because the two concepts conflict internally, is he a natural or is he just better at solving these kinds of problems?

>The alt-right is the reactionary right, which is a type of conservatism.
No. Conservativism is not defined by being right. Alt-right are reactionary conflictologists. They embrace Marxist doctrines, and the actually advocate the same society and societal transformations (the "Culture War" if you want) as the Left does. They just fight the opposite side.
There is nothing conservative about them. And they are not really attempting to maintain society that exists. Or even society that had existed, because as it turns out, alt right blames powerstructures existing about hundred and fifty years back.
They also do not actually uphold or promote traditional values. They only attack the new, leftist values and create their values ex-negative to the ones of the left.

Seriously, how do you not know this? It's basic english.

Adachi was right but he was also dumb as fuck. If he actually worked hard at his life and took advantage of what he learned and what he has he would realize that talent does exist but that doesn't diminish the value of hard work and results.
>>
>>386676918
Adachi falls into the same slump Owlturd does. Adachi never saw the point of trying because someone would always be better than him, so he may as well just live to have fun and slack off the whole time rather than go after what he wanted, and bitch at everyone else for having what he wants.
>>
>>386677134
Yup and even when he did get some power that no one else had he wasted it away on attempting to rape some bitches and failed. After a few months, some dumbass kids ended up catching him in the act because he, like an idiot, fucked up once again by sending a letter to the leader's house when it was obvious who sent it when you really think about it. Maybe he should've used his Persona to get the fuck out of Inaba instead of attempting to rape some reporter.
>>
>>386671047

Not him but while I dont really have the chance to become widely known person for wahtever reason but I hold dearly everything that my father taught me, what he done and his memory and try to carry on those teaching in his honor. said idiot also forgets that he is living with his detective uncle who is still trying to find a perp to someone who murdered his loved one and Adachi somehow thinks he'd just forget about a threat to the only thing of her he has left.

I'd ask "Why was Adachi so goddamn stupid" but I also think it was a mixture of coincidence and Atlus wanting to speed the story along because IT was too incompetent to actually investigate anything

>>386678036
You could explain as Adachi let the power get to his head(which is what really happened) combined with his own ego and narcissism is what led to his doom. That and he had some control over the shadows so he figured, even if those kids go into the TV World they'd never be able to beat me. Also I'd like to point out that Adachi could've hid in the Shadow World instead of taunting the IT, if you really think about it the TV World is connected to all TVs in Inaba and possibly beyond, if he hadn't basically admitted he was the dude that did it the IT wouldn't be able to bring him to prison due to lack of evidence on Adachi.

But like you said, Atlus probably wanted to speed up the story at that point and finish things up, rather than have the IT actually come up with a way to capture Adachi without him doing half the work for them himself. Adachi is stupid, but he didn't have to be that stupid honestly. Its funny how Namatame, a fucking savior-complex guy is a better villain with understandable motivations than Adachi. Same thing with Persona 5, Kamoshida is a better villain(despite not even knowing about his Palace!) than Akechi and Shido.

Some people might consider waste utilization employers less than they are but truth is that if they would suddenly vanish, their life would litteraly go to shit. Also if you've played Ultimax, you'd remember they actually have nothing to hold Adachi in prison other than his own confession and the letter but he insists on staying, so the evidence part is shaky even with Adachi's admissions.

I get what you're saying but you're completely off the mark here, in my opinion.

If we agree that your "importance" in society is directly correlated to how difficult it would be to find another person that performs the task you perform at the level you do - then someone who cleans shit for a living is not important, not because the work they do is itself - unimportant, but because finding a substitute for low-skill labor wouldn't be difficult, as there's a very vast pool of people you could draw from.
>>
>>386645838
Personally I don't think talent exists. Some people might be better than others at a particular skill for inexplicable reasons, but chances are that skill developed in them over time somehow. Just because you can't explain it doesn't mean there's not a reason for it. Show me a newborn infant, fresh from the womb, who can instantly play mozart on piano and I might believe you that talent exists. All that said, even if talent does exist, hard work is better because someone who's talented and lazy will stagnate.

As for OP's question, I'm alright. I don't care toooo much for getting past bullshit/kaizo stuff in games. I guess I see it as a waste of time sometimes, but it's still cool when you can get past certain challenges. I am pretty good at Panel de Pon though.

Being "talented at writing" is probably the worst of the bunch, I know cause I've been there. From elementary up to highschool, teachers and the class were always amazed at my ability to write "good stories", truth is the only thing I was good at was stealing interesting ideas from shit I found cool (most of which was from video games, actually) and adding them to my slightly above average syntax. The more I grew up and read things, the more I realized how immature my writing was, and how far I was from being able to call myself a proper writer.

>truth is the only thing I was good at was stealing interesting ideas from shit
Get of your ass, find yourself a collections of essays and short stories by a man name Jorge Luis Borges.
Read that.
Rethink shit again.

Also, been there, done that, got over that stage, actually succeeded as writer (well, relative to the amount of actual dedication I've put into it). You are wrong. I completely understand your feelings, but you are wrong.

Writing is a matter of three things:
A) basic eye for language and story. You have that, if you can spot interesting elements of other stories, and write in such a way that is pleasant to your readers.
B) reading a LOT. Because there is actually no such thing as literal originality. There is also no need to such thing, which again is something that Borges analyzes in great depth. It's also worth noting that his own work proved that, as some of the greatest writers of 20th century, including Umberto Eco, have done nothing else than took him by his word and "canibalized" his own short stories.
Meanwhile Borges, arguably the greatest literary mind of 20th century, was happily and unappologetically ripping off Lovecraft.
Because worrying about "originality" in literature is fucking retarded.
C) THOUSANDS OF HOURS OF HARD FUCKING WORK.
There is no other, really, really big difference between a "real writer" and a "wanna-be writer". Just MILLIONS of words written, thousands of hours of work. If you get into the habit of regular reading, and regular writing, that is when you'll start writing good stuff. No sooner.

It took me about 400k words of mostly worthless shit to produce 10k of stories that had critical success. I was lucky. By his own admission, Bradbury took seven or eight years of writing two thousand words a day before he wrote his first good story.

The fact that you don't see the thousands of pages of work that had to happen before someone's first good story came out does not mean it's not happening.

There's more to it than that, though. From the show that image is from, Peco is simply better at table tennis than Demon because Demon has worse eyesight and slower reaction times, and that's why he doesn't have the talent for table tennis. People who learned how to do something as children will pretty much always be better at it than someone who starts as an adult.

For example someone who would skateboard as a kid may not have done it in years, and yet after 2 months of practice he'd always be better than someone who started at like 25 years old and practiced all day long for years

"Successful".
I'm here on fucking 4chan. You think I'm successful?
I wrote a couple of stories that won biggest "new talent" literary award in my country, and got published.
I got - in grand total - about 700 dollars out of it. For what amounted to two years of dedicating my life to it. It sold reasonably well, given the genre and average sales of similar fiction.

I have no job, no life, no prospect, no education, rely on help of my parents, am addicted to meds that keep me from offing myself, my sole achievement was that award and a book that was doomed to be forgotten within month of released FROM START, and that was my swan song.

Does that make you feel better?
Fuck this shit. I'm happy that I proved my theory about writing being about dedication and honesty was right, but... it's not changing anything.

Only to excel at a stable job of your choice. Guess what more and more people lack nowadays.
>>

We live in the age where those jobs are slowly dying to machines and developing talents in things that machines can't perform bar some absurd AI development. Jack of all trades is worthless and jobs relying on proper know-how are becoming more prominent

Just came from my friends place. We both play overwatch. He let me play at his pc and he was amazed.

We only play online and this was the first time he got to watch me. He could not believe my reaction time and how easily I can carry games in quickplay as 76.

It felt weird having someone acknowledge me in my videogame skill at age 28.

One of his roommates is 20 and the kids life is videogames. He saw me play and realize I play on a whole other level.

I barely play anymore also. Max an hour this week.

I used to be very good at Halo back in the day. Although I never got the Rank 50 in Halo 3, I was still pretty good. Back in 2014 I won a hoodie for being the only person to get 20 kills/0 deaths in a FFA at a gaming event once.

I got really big into God Hand between 2013-15 and used to play it tons. I was very good at it, but could never completed my Hard KMS run (got stuck on 7-2).

Outside of vidya, a former actor who was my drama teacher back in secondary school once told me that I would be a very good actor after seeing me perform stuff once, my mother once told me that I had a very good singing voice and a music teacher also asked to join a choir once. So who knows, I could be a very good actor with an amazing singing voice if I actually tried.

Apart from that, there isn't much.

I wonder why we hate being jack of all trades?

"Talent" is an excuse given by the lazy to shunt all responsibility of failure among peers off of their doorstep.

You wanna know what "talent" actually is? Discipline and diligence. Kid prodigies? Parents made them work hard towards it, and if the kids happen to also like/love the thing, then them having the advantage of a young learning mind + discipline and diligence = "OMG YOUNG GENIUSES!!!!"

Nevermind the fact that most kids in 3rd grade are already leaning more than 2 languages at a time.

You wanna git gud at something? Fucking LEARN it. If you don't learn it, you don't improve. If you don't discipline yourself to be diligent in learning, you're gonna be one of those parroting faggots who have no god damned clue how anything works other than refusing to accept their own incompetence.

There's a special place in hell for fags who say shit like "lol i wish i could sing/act but im just bad at it ill never be good lol".

I'm tremendously good at racing games, and I almost never play them. It doesn't matter if it's Mario Kart or Forza, I will stomp your fucking colon in. Meanwhile, I play the hell out of shooters and I can't aim for jack shit. This life is a curse.
>>
>>386686973
I don't need to feel superior to anyone, but after years of getting turned down for good paying jobs because even though I have a broad range of things I'm good at I'm easily looked over for someone without that broad range of skills but is really good at the main aspect of the job.

Same. I hate racing games also. But it's what I'm best at.

Even in rng as fuck Mario kart I can always win. Blue shell or not.

I wonder who says these sorts of things. It has to be something you want to believe for a reason, the exact same way people who failed want to believe talent matters a lot.

Over 90% of jobs in the United states got employment through connections.

The true answer is any fucking moron can do the work out of all applicants. But they choose the one that someone in the company personally knows.

That's life.
>>
>>386688480
Oh so sorry you 23 instead?

You just sound frustrated and enjoy being frustrated because it gives yourself a mental excuse to not give a shit anymore.
>>
>>386687929
Maybe you hugely overestimate your own likability. Or you are just applying for the wrong job. Or - and this going to be the most likely case - he has field experience and you don't.

I have no clue what you morons think specialization actually even means. But I can assure you that right now, more or less universally across the entire western market, 80% of all available jobs will find two years of experience in the field more valuable than six years of specialized training and three diplomas.
Over the course of my own work, I've spoken to what is well over a hundred HR managers ACROSS THE BLOODY SPECTRUM and they all told me the same thing:
We don't give a fuck about external specialization, we don't give fuck about their talent - we don't really even care how good they are at the job. Nobody is sitting and saying "well, will this guy be 20% more efficient at this post than the other guy?"
No.
They don't want to deal with training, because the turn-over rate these days is big and training is expensive. They need pragmatic experience from the field and people who already have work customs.
And that is not specialization. Despite what you think, most jobs don't need any, and in most positions, you are not going to learn what they need you to know anywhere but ON THE JOB.

Gabe was right when he said that the whole idea that you need a college to get specialization for your job is one of the worst scams of Western history, and he was fucking right.

>>
>>386689205
Connections, stupid.
>>
>>386689205
Now you discovered the single most frustrating truth of the reality of contemporary job market!

The answer is: this is why it seems so fucking hard to get a job.
You'll eventually find someone who is willing to take the risk - they are rare, but exceptions do exist, of course. Or through connections. If you want to know why renowned universities have such a high application success, it's in big part because they foster and cultivate connection-networks more efficiently.
>>
>>386689205
>filling entry level positions
>needs at least two years experience in related field

Making connections is impossible for me at this point. I work 2 full time jobs and one part time one to try and pay off medical debt. I have no time to try and build connections even with coworkers.
