Don't forget open world, which every game thinks its special for. Only time I find open world fun is when it's sandbox and I can do whatever I want.

I thought that coming to this board to discuss videogames meant knowing basic shit about videogames
I suggest you to lurk some more and find for yourself some titles worth a play

>buy AAA title

>50 gb for some reason

>hundreds of hours worth of gameplay and that's not even touching mods
>like 80 MB

For me it's the opposite, when a game is open world but it's not a sandbox.
Having a huge, and well designed map but being limited to your objective is god tier. This way you can approach the objective how you please, but there is no loss of narrative. Check Gothic 1&2, or mil sim, like Op. Flashpoint dragon rising.
A sandbox is just an excuse for devs to pull out a lazy design and fill it with quest markers and collectibles
