Unity got shot down for its technical problems but I think the gameplay was heading in a good direction. A bit more focus on stealth, combat was challenging and less button mashy, assassination were more open to different approaches. The story was shit though.

Expect Black Flag did overload you with historical characters. I am pretty sure almost every single non assassin character Edward knew was a famous pirate and before the events of Black flag the reason Edward and Blackbeard were best buddies is because Blackbeard trained Edward in piracy.

The parkour was the best yet, it had actual stealth with the ability to crouch and pull guys into door ways or around corners quietly and co-op in the open world and some missions 2 to 4 player I believe. The story and characters werent memorable enough for me to have an opinion but the gameplay and world made me like Ass Creed again for a couple months. Haven't played another one since. Not a fan if the pirate boat stuff so didnt play 3&4 though I own them now through GwG.
