Hard mode is hard mode, if you use an Amiibo you can play hard mode in the Fusion suit. I don't understand why people are still crying about this. Metroid Prime locked the Fusion suit behind GBA connectivity. Metroid Prime 3 and Trilogy locked all sorts of bonus features behind WiiConnect24 which is now dead.

As long as it's cosmetics, I don't care. I've heard people saying it's cosmetic and others saying it isn't. I haven't looked it up myself, but if it is cosmetic then I don't think this is unprecedented.

I feel like I'm the only one who cares more about this game than Prime 4. I'm not expecting this to be the best 2D Metroid ever, but I'm still pretty optimistic about it. My only major worry is that you need to use the circlepad to move, since the circlepad on the 3DS is fucking awful. The melee counter also seems a bit too lenient but combat in Metroid games has always been trivial and adding another combat option to allow you to switch things up isn't exactly a bad thing.
