Not necessarily remaster related but how do I get good at Starcraft 1?

I don't think I ever won an honest 1v1 game of it in the 7 years I played it. Hell I can't even beat the CPUs.

When I ask people just throw out shit like 2 POOL ZVT like I'm supposed to know what the fuck that means or something.

I don't actually care much about playing, just watching. When's the next ASL?

It already uses battle.net. StarCraft is free now. Only buy the remastered version if you want slightly upgraded graphics. Both editions share the same online.

It's really simple. Look up a build order online, do that against computers and you should win. Watch a few korean streamers and take note of what they do and try to copy it. Always keep making workers.

What race do you play usually?

What's a good one to start with?

If you want easy go for protoss. Switch hotkeys to your liking since the default ones are crap.

Practice this build order against computers -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4cEkMixJMI. Then when you feel you're good enough, go online and play against terrans. Then when you feel like you're good enough against terran look up a bo against protoss or zerg.

Once you've learned the game enough this way you can start trying out your own build orders. Just remember that strategy isn't as important as your mechanics.

Do we know if the Stukov missions are built in?

Buying it only because I've never played Starcraft before and want to get into RTS or at least try it out. Also maybe it'll lead to more HD remasters of their other games.

The story is fun but remember that it comes from the era where devs sometimes had to be bastards to make the game last awhile. The base game is fine but Broodwar missions get way to fucking long past the half way point.

For the final mission of Broodwar, kill the Protoss quickly, you'll regret it if they have time to get upgrades going.
